4-Point Racing Seatbelt Installation

For added safety, I had 4-point seatbelts installed to the roadster. Safer indeed when compared to the old 2-point lap-belts that was previously installed.

Looks great as well! Cafe racer look for the roadster!

Fabrication of the mounting bracket and installation of the belts was done by Speedmode. Professionally done and well though of. They even had to remove the seats to install the belts.

Nice clean design and fabrication work. Speedmode used high tensile strength bolts to hold down the bracket to the chassis underneath. They also welded a stainless steel rod underneath the bracket to strengthen it and keep it from flexing and stress.

Back view looks clean and it doesn't clutter the rear shelf, which is good for added storage space. Looks good too when the top is down!

Race Preparations for Classic Car Race in Batangas Racing Circuit on July 19

R16 Engine and Solex Mikuni PHH40 already tuned by "Race Guru" Fil Gulfin

Bought an OGK RSN (Japan) fullface race helmet. Fits great!

Shell and interior lining/fabric are still in very good condition...breath guard already included.

OGK RSN

Will also tighten all the screws/bolts in the body to prevent parts from falling off during the race! I also need to have the suspension bolts checked and tightened.

I also bought a set of HD Kai racing brake pads. These pads have an operating temperature from 0 to 500 degrees celsius, which is more than adequate for street and track-day use. Had them ordered from Japan c/o Speedmode.

These babies are quite hard to find and get. This was one of the last two remaining in stock at the Japanese manufacturer's inventory. If I have the budget and if the braking performance is great, I plan to buy the last set!

I had them installed at Speedmode for only P300. I also had the brake fluid replaced for P1,000 only...considering that they had to remove and clean the calipers and pistons. They also used a pneumatic device that sucked all the dirty brake fluid from the entire brake system and piston chamber. The brake fluid was already dark from dirt and grime!

I can't wait to try them out on the street and especially on the track on Sunday! I hope they perform well especially with a price tag of P7,000 per set! Expensive indeed, but safety first!
