2K Toyota Carb History
I found some information leading to the 2K Toyota carburetor's history. As you can see in the chart, this type of carburetor (2K double barrel) was used in '65 to '70 Toyota Corona's with a 1900cc engine. I'm not sure if the 2K carb swap would've dramatically decreased the engine's horsepower, but people that I've talked to (one was a car shop owner with tons of experience with these kinds of vintage carbs - Webbers, Solexes, SUs, etc.) say that fuel-efficiency was greatly increased and engine tuning was much easier as compared to using the stock twin SU carbs. I've also read in forums that the stock SUs are a pain to balance right...I'll be sticking with the 2K carbs for now :)
