New Parts Update: Engine Support Mounts and Camshaft Bearings

New Engine Mount

Surprisingly, Topmost Auto Supply Shop was able to find engine mounts for the R16 engine. Amazing what a little canvasing can accomplish! Price was P400 each for a total of P800 for two mounts. This would cost up to $90 in the U.S for a pair of mounts.

I also bought Camshaft bearings (STD size) as required by the machine shop (A. Roque Machine Shop - located in Timog, Quezon City). Bought it at Fernando's Auto Supply. I think the cost was P250 for the set.

I also ordered the 0.010" 3 main engine bearing set from Sports Imports located in Canada. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the bearing set anywhere here in Metro Manila. The overhaul project is really getting delayed, which is bad since the brakes and other parts might get stuck (keeping my fingers crossed that it'll be okay after not being used for some time) so I had to order it abroad.

The owner of Sports Imports, Ross Mullen, was easy to communicate with. Ordered the set today and he says that he'll deliver it "this morning." I opted for the "Xpresspost International" (7 business days delivery time). Total bill was $180 ($125 for the bearing set and $55 for the freight cost). I can't wait to get my hands on the bearings and finish the overhaul project!!!
